iFeature Free

CyberChimps.com today introduced iFeature, a different kind of WordPress theme. iFeature includes an Apple-like design, beautifully designed drop-down iMenu, iFeature Slider, dynamic widgets, and a user friendly control panel. Also built into iFeature is social networking features, and sharing via Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit. iFeature can be downloaded for free at: http://cyberchimps.com/ifeature

“I’ve been developing websites for over 10-years including having worked with two of the original founders of MySpace, and Playboy,” said Trent Lapinski, CEO of CyberChimps.com. “We took everything we’ve learned about web development and applied it to build a beautiful Apple-like user friendly WordPress theme.”

While iFeature is one of the most advanced free WordPress themes available, CyberChimps has also developed iFeature Pro. iFeature Pro is a premium version of iFeature that includes a full-width iFeature Slider, multi-color iMenu options, business ready layouts, Google Web Font support, a callout section, more widgetized areas, and still maintains the same user friendly control panel found in iFeature.

As rumored, iTunes 10.1 was released today, and can be downloaded via Software Update clocking in at 55MB. However, iOS 4.2 which was also rumored to be released today was not. Several reports over the past two days suggested iOS 4.2′s release would be delayed until sometime next week, if not later.

Regardless of when iOS 4.2 is released, Apple has all of their ducks in a row with the release of Mac OS 10.6.5 and now iTunes 10.1 which both support several new iOS 4.2 features including AirPlay, and AirPrint.

Word on the street is Apple has begun seeding the latest version of OSX 10.6.5, build 10H571, to select developers to test prior to public release. With OSX 10.6.5 required for the AirPrint functionality being included with iOS 4.2, it is likely both releases will occur at about the same time.

Interestingly enough, yesterday Apple seeded the first developer build of OS X 10.6.6, which will bring support for the upcoming Mac App Store. This means that 10.6.5 must be nearing completion, and with iOS 4.2 hitting GM status earlier this week, I suspect we’ll see both being released in the next week or two.

Version 4.2 of iOS is now out of beta and has been given GM status, meaning it will be available for retail devices soon. However, if you’re a developer (or you know someone that is), you can grab it early by visiting Apple’s developer page here.

iOS version 4.2, which finally brings multitasking to the iPad, will also be available for generations two, three and four of the iPod Touch, as well as the iPhone 3G, 3Gs, and 4.
