About
AppleXnews.com’s story begins March 27th, 2001 when Mac user Trent Lapinski launched a small little Mac OS X focused website inspired by Mac OS X version 10.0 called Apple-X. He was soon joined by fellow Apple fanboy Eoban Binder who helped Trent with his horrible grammar, and eventually began writing for the site which they later relaunched as Apple-X.net. During the initial few years Apple-X went through several reiterations and ultimately became AppleXnet in 2005.
Over the 5 years Trent and Eoban ran the site it featured nearly a dozen amazing writers and Mac zealots. AppleXnet staff attended several Macworld Expo’s in San Francisco, and provided coverage for several major Apple product announcements.
In 2006 Trent sold AppleXnet while attending college and writing freelance for sites such as SuicideGirls.com, and ValleyWag.com. He later dropped out of college to work for two of the former founders of MySpace for two years, worked as internet marketer for Playboy, and even worked for a medical research company. He is now hoping to return to his roots with the pending relaunch of AppleXnews.com this fall.
Hope to see you all again soon!
